Washington, D.C., October 18, 2017 – Competitive Carriers Association’s (CCA) 2017 Annual Convention will feature a stellar keynote line-up including a fireside chat with former Governors Jeb Bush of Florida and Martin O’Malley of Maryland who will discuss the importance of a nationwide public safety network and how carriers and states can work together. CCA will be celebrating 25 years of advocacy at the Fort Worth Convention Center, October 25-27. All keynote programming will be live streamed by RCR Wireless.
Also delivering keynote remarks will be FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr and Callie Field, EVP, Customer Care, T-Mobile. A keynote panel will address how carriers are innovating their approach to servicing customers and the critical need for access to mobile broadband services across North America featuring executives from ATN International, Ericsson, Huawei Technologies USA, Nokia Networks, and Sprint.
“This year’s dynamic keynote and conference program for CCA’s 25th anniversary will address technological innovations and regulatory developments that are important to competitive carriers,” said Steven K. Berry, president and CEO of CCA. “The exhibit floor will feature innovative companies demonstrating the latest products and services for new mobile broadband networks that will support migration to 5G, Internet of Things, autonomous vehicles, drones, and more.”
At an evening reception on Wednesday, October 25, CCA will launch Women Empowered: CCA’s Networking (we- CCAn), an organization whose mission is to connect, educate, and support the next generation of female leaders in the mobile industry. The group will host events next year designed to mentor and train women to take on leadership roles in their companies, within CCA, and in the mobile industry.
The exhibit floor will bring together technology vendors, infrastructure and backhaul providers, handset, small cells, Wi-Fi, device and app developers, and other industries focused on reaching the North American competitive carrier market, which spend over $15 billion annually on products and services related to the wireless industry.
Back by popular demand, the exhibit floor will feature the Start-Up Showcase where emerging companies will demonstrate new products and services and meet with mobile carriers and senior executives. Participating companies include Altaeros, Cellbie Inc., EdgeMicro LLC, Evolutive Labs, Family Zone Inc., i-Comm Connect, IoT America LLC, and K&M Systems and Summa Networks who will each give five-minute presentations in the Start-up Pitch Competition. Attendees will vote for a winner, who will receive a prize package valued at over $10K.
New this year is the “Mobile Minute” Studio sponsored by Ericsson featuring live interviews on the exhibit floor with industry leaders who will sit for a five-minute discussion about trends, issues, and the future of the mobile industry.
